Oops! O_o

Yeah, um, so...it turns out that walking into work early and with your headphones on is not always a good idea.

Cos you might be the first one in and not hear the beeping of the burglar alarm until too late.

Not that I knew the code anyway.

Div = me.

Oh the shame of it!

The Lady of Shalott may have cried that doom was upon when the mirror crack'd from side to side. I have a different reason however.

I sat on my bed yesterday evening and one of the base slats snapped in half.

Certainly made my self confidence plummet. From now on I shall be known as Sessy the Heifer Girl.

Excuse me while I go and sulk.

And All That Jazz...

Went to see Chicago on Friday night with Brooke Shields as Roxie. Its such an excellent show, I love the fact that the orchestra sits centre stage.

Saturday saw my friends and meet a couple of guys we lived in hall with at university last year. They very kindly brought the Manchester weather with them.

Thanks boys!

Watched Doctor Who again on Saturday, haven't missed an episode yet (sad case that I am) and words cannot describe how much I love it. Or how creepy that child was. Everyone who knows me, is aware of my fear of zombies. So zombies with gas masks seriously freaked me out!

What do you mean I have to travel cattle class?

So, on Wednesday I have my first business trip. Am so grown up, what with my pension and all.

I will be flying out to exotic Amsterdam. And back again in the same day. No time for hanging about in coffee bars or to ride a bike, but I should be home in time for Desperate Housewives.

God, I feel so old. Downside of spinsterness.

A Public Service Announcement for Women Drivers

Listen girls, we've got a bad enough rep when it comes to driving without some of you twits exacerbating things. So please note the following;

1) It's called a bus lane for a reason, if you aren't driving a double decker then stay the fuck out of there!

2) Rear view mirrors are useful for things other than checking out your make up. Like to see if there is anything behind you.

3) And finally, your hazard lights do not make your car either of the following;

a) invisible
b) small enough so others can squeeze around you when you park in the middle of the road to let the kids out (!!) or nip to the cash point.

While this may appear to be a betrayal of my sex, I cannot claim 'sisterhood' (god, I hate that term) with some moron who things bad driving is amusing endearing or her right as a woman. It's not. So, don't give anyone any more ammunition regarding female driving ability.

Here endeth the rant.

Normal service now resumed...kinda..

Phew, what a mad couple of weeks. Barely had time to think let alone blog. And yet....haven't got all that much to say.

One big difference is that the Zombie Computer has been laid to rest, hurrah for shiny new PCness. Meaning any free moment I have has been spent playing on Sims 2. So easy to lose hours on a weekend to that game. Except now that they get old and die, I feel so sad. I get really attached to them.

When one of my original sims died of old age the other day, his wife had a nervous breakdown and starved herself to death. Not fun.

Other big news is that I have (finally) sent off my university applications, cross those fingers people!

Soundtrack to my life = Cells by The Servant.
An instrumental version can be heard in the trailer for Sin City, cannot wait to see that film. Looks chuffing amazing!!
