Have fun, go wild, living in the City

Well, I'm back. No broadband as yet but I am sneakily writing this in work. Ssssh!

It is Friday after all.

As you can see, I've made it in one piece down to London and I'm all settled in. Work is good and I really feel I've fallen on my feet, as everyone in the office is very friendly. The work load is high and quite stressful at times but anything is better than ASDA!

However, the one downside of my move has been The Saga Of The Fridge (not capital letters for dramatic effect). I have been in the flat for nearly 3 weeks now and we are on our second fridge! Which is having an identity crisis, it believes it is a freezer and stubbornly refuses to get above a temperature of about -3 degrees. The bastard!

The company in question (*ahem*Whirlpool*ahem*) has been thoroughly unhelpful and after much complaining has given me an 8-year parts guarantee for the new fridge, should it ever arrive.

During this period I have learnt that mushrooms and onions DO NOT defrost very well and that drinking yoghurt drinks straight from the freezer causes paralyzing headaches. Don't do it kids!

One of my flatmates remarked yesterday that we've been without a fridge for so long that she can't really imagine what it will be like to have one. And judging by the speed at which Whirlpool work, she may well have forgotten what a fridge is altogether by the time it arrives!!

My last paycheck from ASDA went in today and I must resist the urge to go to Oxford Street tomorrow and blow it all on shoes and other such girly delights. Mmmm bronze satin T-bars.

Went to a fab gig last Saturday for a band called A Day Left, check them out. They rock, wolvie beserk style.

Tomorrow I will explore, what will I find? Who knows! Hopefully cheap and sexy shoes!

lol. Anything (even going to the dentists) is better than working at ASDA Queensferry!
Glad to hear that the shopping bug is getting to you now that you've got an income.
BTW sorry for not thinking you were you on the phone last week. Its either my ears playin up on me or the quality of the line.
Have fun. Gra
