Ostriches

The image we have of ostriches is of them sticking their heads in the sand to avoid the situation at hand. We think of this as stupid.
Sometimes it is comforting to keep your head buried. It is quiet and peaceful, no one can yell at you. You can’t do anything to make yourself look or feel stupid. You can’t fail at anything.

But there comes a time you have to take your head out, or you suffocate.
